What is a Traffic Guidance Scheme (previously known as Traffic Control Plan)?

A TGS must be developed where the road environment is temporarily changed, and the road users may be impacted. A TGS is a detailed layout of temporary signs and devices that communicate the temporary traffic management arrangement to guide traffic around, past or through a work site or temporary hazard.
